For synchronization of estrus in cattle to reduce labor costs and increase efficiency in reproductive programs. The most used prostaglandin product in the United States, Lutalyse is entirely natural.

Lutalyse is indicated for estrus synchronization, treatment of unobserved (silent) heats and post-partum treatment of pyometra (chronic endometritis or infection of the uterus) in cattle.

  • An entirely natural product means you can use it with the knowledge that it is safe and has no milk or meat withdrawal.
  • Lutalyse is the most widely used and most researched prostaglandin in the world.
  • When used as a part of a synchronization program, you can improve pregnancy rates, reduce time necessary for heat detection and minimize labor.
  • No milk discard or slaughter withdrawal when used correctly in cattle.
  • No slaughter withdrawal period is required for labeled uses in swine.
  • If this product is used in excess of the approved dose may result in drug residues.
  • Do not use in horses intended for human consumption.
  • Not for human use. Women of childbearing age, asthmatics and persons with bronchial and other respiratory problems should exercise extreme caution when handling this product. In the early stages, women may be unaware of their pregnancies. Dinoprost tromethamine is readily absorbed through the skin and can cause abortions. Accidental spillage on the skin should be washed off immediately with soap and water.

For estrus synchronization, administer 5 ml intramuscularly either once or twice at 10 to 12 days intervals. For treatment of unobserved (silent) heats inject a 5 ml dose intramuscularly.

If estrus has not been observed by 80 hours post injection, breed at 80 hours. If cow returns to estrus, breed at usual time.

For treatment of pyometra (uterine infection) post-partum inject a dose of 5 ml intramuscularly.
