For synchronization of estrus in cattle to reduce labor costs and increase efficiency in reproductive programs. The most used prostaglandin product in the United States, Lutalyse is entirely natural.
Lutalyse is indicated for estrus synchronization, treatment of unobserved (silent) heats and post-partum treatment of pyometra (chronic endometritis or infection of the uterus) in cattle.
Labeled for: beef and dairy heifers and cows, swine and horses
Species: cattle, horse, pig
For estrus synchronization, administer 5 ml intramuscularly either once or twice at 10 to 12 days intervals. For treatment of unobserved (silent) heats inject a 5 ml dose intramuscularly.
If estrus has not been observed by 80 hours post injection, breed at 80 hours. If cow returns to estrus, breed at usual time.
For treatment of pyometra (uterine infection) post-partum inject a dose of 5 ml intramuscularly.
