Boehringer Ingelheim Bio-Mycin 200 is an injectable form of oxytetracycline for beef and dairy cattle and pigs. This fast-acting and long-lasting, broad-spectrum antibiotic treats a wide range of diseases caused by susceptible gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Formulated with a unique carrier—which is shown to reduce tissue damage and cause less irritation at the injection site—resulting in less trimming losses. Cattle and swine will benefit from a more comfortable injection with immediate impact and long-lasting treatment to support recovery.
For use in cattle to treat pneumonia and shipping fever caused by Pasteurella and Haemophilus, pinkeye caused by Moraxella bovis, foot-rot and diphtheria caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum, bacterial enteritis caused by E. coli, and leptospirosis caused by Leptospira pomona. Also helps heal wound infections and acute metritis caused by Staphylococci and Streptococci organisms.
For use in swine to treat bacterial enteritis caused by E. coli, pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida, and leptospirosis caused by Leptospira pomona. Also, for use in sows to aid in control of infectious enteritis in suckling pigs caused by E. coli.
