Zoetis Albon Bolus for cattle contains the medication sulfadimethoxine. This type of sulfa has been demonstrated to be effective against a vast variety of bacterial organisms which cause disease in beef and dairy cattle, and calves such as streptococci, staphylococci, and members of the E. coli-salmonella group of bacteria. Albon is indicated for the treatment of shipping fever complex and bacterial pneumonia associated with organisms such as Pasteurella spp. sensitive to sulfadimethoxine; and calf diphtheria and foot rot associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum sensitive to sulfadimethoxine in cattle. Treats calf scours caused by E. coli and Salmonella. Available in two strengths—for treating calves or adult cattle.
