Micotil 300 Injection (tilmicosin injection) is an injectable solution for use in beef and dairy cattle (under 20-months of age) and sheep. Single-dose antibiotic is for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella haemolytica and Histophilus somni; and for at-risk animals, used for control in developing BRD associated with M. haemolytica. In sheep, it is labeled for the treatment of ovine respiratory disease (ORD) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica. Single, subcutaneous dose of 1.5 to 3-ml per 100 lbs of bodyweight. This flex dose allows you to better manage on-arrival animal weight and risk variation.
Micotil is designed with a safety shroud which locks the bottle inside. This improved safety feature must be used with the Micotil Syringe designed with a self-tenting mechanism and needle guard and Quick Connector to administer this medication. The Quick Connector securely attaches to the protective shroud and syringe for administering Micotil. The Syringe barrel and Quick Connector hold approximately 72-ml of Micotil.

• Injection of this drug in humans has been associated with fatalities. Exercise extreme caution to avoid accidental self-injection.
o In case of human injection, consult a physician immediately and apply ice or cold-pack to injection site while avoiding direct contact with the skin. Avoid contact with eyes. Always use proper drug handling procedures to avoid accidental self-injection.
• Meat withhold is 42-days in both cattle and sheep.
• Not for use in female daily cattle under 20-months of age.
• Do not use in lactating ewes producing milk for human consumption.
• Do not use in lambs less than 33 pounds of bodyweight.
• Do not administer more than 10-ml per injection site.
• Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children.
• Administer only with a tube-fed safety syringe. Do not use with automatically powered syringes, single-use syringes, or other delivery devices.
• Consult your veterinarian on the safe handling and use of all injectable products prior to administration.
• Wear protective disposable gloves while handling Micotil to reduce risk of exposure.
• Store at or below 86 °F. Protect from direct sunlight.
Administer using the tube-fed safety syringe. Watch the video located in the Product Library tab on how to use the protective shroud and tube-fed safety syringe. Use a 1/2-inch to 5/8-inch, 18- to 16-gauge needle.
Cattle: Inject a single dose subcutaneously, 1.5 to 3-ml per 100 lbs.
Sheep: Inject a single dose of 1.5-ml per 100 lbs.
If there is no noted improvement within 48 hours, consult your veterinarian.
