Broad spectrum penicillin antibiotic that has a wide range of uses across several species. Polyflex has a shorter slaughter and milk withhold period than other penicillin products.

For use in cattle including lactating cows for the treatment of bacterial pneumonia caused by Aerobatic spp., Klebsiella spp., staphylococcus spp., streptococcus spp., Pasteurella multocida, and Escherichia coli susceptible to ampicillin.

It is also for use in dogs and cats for the treatment of respiratory tract, urinary tract and gastrointestinal infections; as well as skin, soft tissue, and post-surgical infections.


Species: cattle, calf, dog, cat

  • Broad-spectrum applications in a variety of species makes Polyflex a useful product to have on hand. 
  • It has a shorter milk and slaughter withdrawal time than other products in the same class of drugs meaning less loss of profit. 
  • Good alternative to administering oral antibiotics in dogs and cats.
  • Can be stored in refrigeration up to 3 months after reconstitution 
  • Slaughter withhold is 6 days from last treatment; milk withhold is 48 hours from last treatment.

Reconstitute with sterile water in the amount directed to achieve desired strength.

For cattle and calves: Administer at a rate of 2 to 5 mg per lb of body weight intramuscularly once daily for 3 to 5 days as needed.

For dogs and cats: The recommended dose is 3 mg per lb of body weight subcutaneously or intramuscularly twice daily as directed.
