Elanco Trucan B Oral Bordetella Vaccine for Dogs provides protection against kennel cough, a highly contagious respiratory disease in dogs. An avirulent live culture vaccine, Trucan is shown to be effective against the bacteria Bordetella bronchiseptica. This easy-to-administer oral vaccine is safe for use in healthy dogs and puppies, 8 weeks of age or older. Oral dosing makes administration easier than the traditional nasal route, for less waste and less stress on your dog.

Kennel cough is a highly contagious respiratory disease which causes inflammation of the trachea and bronchi. Symptoms include a dry, hacking cough, decreased appetite, fever and in some cases lethargy. Bordetella vaccine is recommended for dogs and puppies that frequent dog parks, pet stores, grooming facilities and other events where multiple dogs gather (show or agility). This vaccine is often a requirement for dogs staying at a boarding facility or doggy daycare.
