Durvet Canine Spectra KC3 vaccine is for dogs and puppies 8-weeks of age and older. Provides protection against Bordetella bronchiseptica (kennel cough), canine parainfluenza (CPIV), and canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV2). Intranasal kennel cough vaccine provides a rapid, localized immune response. It is recommended or often required by dog boarding facilities to have your dog vaccinated with a vaccine such as Canine Spectra KC3 prior to boarding.
Kennel cough is a highly contagious respiratory disease which causes inflammation of the trachea and bronchi. Symptoms include a dry hacking cough, decreased appetite, fever, and in some cases lethargy. Bordetella vaccine is recommended for dogs and puppies that frequent dog parks, pet stores, grooming facilities and other events where multiple dogs gather (shows or agility events). This vaccine is often a requirement for dogs staying at a boarding facility or doggy daycare.
