This product is a vaccine that is used in healthy dogs for the prevention of subclinical arthritis caused by Borrelia burgdorferi (lyme disease). B. burgdorferi is spread by the deer tick and the western blacklegged tick. The vaccine contains two inactivated isolates of B. burgdorferi. Lyme disease affects the joints of dogs. Getting your dog vaccinated and using a topical tick treatment is the best way to prevent the infection of lyme disease in your dog.
