Durvet Canine Spectra 5 is for the vaccination of healthy dogs and puppies. Modified-live vaccine, aids in prevention of canine distemper, adenovirus Type1 and Type 2, parainfluenza, and parvovirus (CPV). Does not contain Lepto portions, making it perfect for a puppy’s first vaccine. Offers high vaccine titers to provide your young puppy with the Parvo protection he or she needs. Vaccinating your puppy at home offers a great start of protection against potential fatal viruses.

Species: dog
Administer 1-ml intramuscularly (IM) or subcutaneously (SQ). Open syringe by twisting or tapping the cap against a hard surface to break the heat weld. Prepare the vaccine by injecting the diluent into the vial containing the desiccated vaccine cake. Shake well. Withdraw entire contents into the syringe. Thoroughly prepare injection site with antiseptic.
SQ administration: Lift the loose skin behind the neck or behind front leg and insert needle. Inject entire contents of the syringe. Do not inject directly into a blood vessel (see cautionary statement below).
IM administration: Insert needle into the muscle of the hind limb. Inject entire contents of the syringe. Do not inject directly into a blood vessel.
Caution: Before injecting vaccine, pull back slightly on syringe plunger. If blood enters the syringe freely, choose another injection site.
Puppies 9 weeks or younger: Vaccinate healthy puppies at 3 to 4-week intervals until 16 weeks of age for at least 3 doses.
Puppies over 9 weeks and adults: Give a minimum of 2 doses at 3 to 4-week intervals.
Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
