Elanco Increxxa (tulathromycin) injectable solution for cattle and swine is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is rapidly absorbed into the lung tissue to control BRD early in the disease process. Use in cattle to treat and control bovine respiratory disease (BRD) caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somnus, and Mycoplasma bovis. Treats foot rot caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum and Porphyromonas levii pathogens; and pinkeye caused by Moraxella bovis.

In swine, this medication is indicated for the use of treating and controlling swine respiratory disease (SRD) due to Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. Treats SRD caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica and Haemophilus parasuis pathogens.

Increxxa is a single, low-volume dose, broad-spectrum antibiotic to treat and control the major causes of BRD in cattle and SRD in swine. It is rapidly absorbed into the lungs to help treat and decrease the negative effects of BRD such as morbidity and retreatment.

  • Each ml contains 100 mg of tulathromycin.
  • Cattle: 18-day slaughter withhold.
  • This drug is not approved for use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, including dry dairy cows. Use in these cattle may cause drug residues in milk and/or in calves born to these cows.
  • Swine: 5-day slaughter withhold.
  • Subcutaneous injection can cause a transient local tissue reaction, which may result in trim loss of edible tissue at slaughter in both cattle and swine.
  • Store below 25 °C (77 °F), with excursions up to 40 °C (104 °F).
  • Use 100 ml within 2 months of first puncture and puncture a maximum of 67 times. Use 250 ml within 2 months of first puncture and puncture a maximum of 100 times. If more than recommended punctures are anticipated, the use of multi-dosing equipment is recommended. When using a draw-off spike or needle with bore diameter larger than 16 gauge, discard any product remaining in the vial immediately after use.

Cattle: Inject subcutaneously as a single dose in the neck at a dosage of 2.5 mg/kg (1.1 ml/100 lb) bodyweight. Do not inject more than 10 ml per injection site.
Swine: Inject intramuscularly as a single dose in the neck at a dosage of 2.5 mg/kg (0.25 ml/22 lb). Do not inject more than 2.5 ml per injection site.
