The Smart Bio Block are the first biodegradable and compostable hoof block for cows. White, universal design, and available in small and large sizes. The Smart Bio Block is designed with the same benefits as its predecessor, the Original Smart Block, but with a new double slope composite. The slope gives the cow maximum lift on her injured claw for improved comfort and better gait during treatment. This hoof block gives almost 20% more lift on the ulcer and white line zones compared to the conventional 0.75-inch block. The double slope encourages the cow to walk with the block more directly under her hock or knee, increasing stability and giving the injury more rest for faster healing.
Smart Blocks are designed to reduce the amount of glue used, while creating the most secure bond possible. Ideal for herds having issues with ‘white line disease’ or sole ulcers. Perfect for treating minor lameness or cattle with thin soles. Features a slip-resistant, soft-sole protection with the same premium shock absorbing material as the Original Smart Block.
