Covidien Corvac Serum Separator Tubes are ideal for laboratory use in general chemistries, serology and toxicology procedures. The blood collection tubes contain an inert acrylic gel barrier to separate blood cells from serum. Glass powder activates clotting of blood. Sterilized interior with vacuum seal for quality performance; identifiable by red and gray mottled stopper.

  • Sterile tube interior.
  • Easy-to-use clear tube with soft rubber stopper.
  • Blank label on tube for marking identification.
  • Sterilization applies to the tube and stopper interior only, and not to the outside of the tube or packaging.
  • The tubes are sterilized by the gamma radiation.
  • Can be used with both angle-headed and horizontal-headed centrifuges.

Use with blood collection needle and vacutainer to directly collect blood into blood collection tube. Or draw blood from animal with needle and syringe, insert the needle in the center of rubber stopper (do not remove rubber stopper). Gently and slowly inject blood into blood collection tube. Avoid injecting blood too fast, as it can cause damage to the blood cells. Allow blood to clot in tube before centrifuging.
