Purina Lamb and Kid Colostrum Replacer provides critical nutrition to newborn lambs and goat kids. Feeding colostrum directly from the doe or ewe is always best to transfer passive immunity. In a circumstance where this is not possible, colostrum replacement helps provide essential antibodies and builds the goat kid’s or lamb’s immune system. This highly concentrated formula provides newborns with 25% fat for energy, plus essential nutrients for growth and development critical on the first day of life.
Ideal for use when quality or quantity of maternal colostrum is insufficient; the newborn goat kid or lamb is unable to drink from doe or ewe; or it’s a first pregnancy doe or ewe, there are multiple births, or the ewe or doe has health challenges. Can be fed as a colostrum replacer for supplement.
Labeled for: newborn goat kid and lamb

Refrigerate unused colostrum replacer solution promptly after mixing. Reheat gently over warm water and mix thoroughly before feeding. Do not microwave or freeze the solution. Discard any unused refrigerated colostrum replacer after 8-hours.
When fed as a replacer: Feed 7 fluid ounces of mixed soliton per 4-lb of bodyweight. Divide this mixed solution into 2 to 3 feedings over the first 8-hours of life.
When fed as a supplement: Feed 3.5 fluid ounces of mixed solution per 4-lb of bodyweight. The mixed solution can be added to maternal colostrum if there is not enough quantity or if the quality of maternal colostrum is unknown, as may be the case in multiple births. Lambs and goat kids also benefit from feeding supplemental colostrum past day one.
