Water soluble antibiotic for treating groups of animals easily and without injections. Use in swine for the treatment and control of swine dysentery associated with Brachyspira hyodysenteriae and for the control of porcine proliferative enteropathies (ileitis) associated with lawsonia intracellularis.
Tylan is for use in broiler and replacement chickens as an aid in the treatment of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum sensitive to Tylosin. For the control of CRD associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum at times of stress and CRD associated with Mycoplasma synoviae in broiler chickens.
For use in turkeys for maintaining weight gain and feed efficiency in the presence of infectious sinusitis associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
For use in honey bees for the control of American foulbrood (Paenibacillus larvae)

Water soluble powder makes administration of this antibiotic easier for treating groups of animals.
Slaughter withdrawal: Swine—48 hours; chickens—24 hours; turkeys—5 days
Chickens and turkeys: Dissolve one jar of soluble powder into a gallon of water then add to 50 gallons of water. It should be administered to chickens and turkeys as the sole source of water for 1 to 5 days.
Swine dosage: Dissolve one jar powder in a gallon of water; then add to 400 gallons of water to reach a concentration of 250mg per gallon. Medicate for 3 to 10 days depending on severity of infection. Should be followed up immediately by Tylan Type A medicated article in the feed.
Honey bees dosage: Mix 200 mg Tylan powder into 20 g powdered sugar. Use immediately; and should be applied as 3 treatments spaced a week apart. Treatment should be done in early spring or fall. Dust the mixture over the brood chambers.
