For use in domestic animals as an aid in preventing and treating tetanus. Each vial contains 1 dose which is 1,500 units. Can be used in emergency situations due to infection of Clostridium tetani.
Labeled for: beef and dairy cattle, horses, sheep and swine
Species: cattle, horse, sheep, pig
Administer 1500 units subcutaneously or intramuscularly for prevention.
For animals already infected with tetanus, administer 10,000 to 50,000 units to horses or cattle; 3,000 to 15,000 units to sheep and swine.
Animals that suffer slow healing puncture wounds or deep abrasions should be given a second dose of antitoxin in 7 days and additionally as considered necessary.
