Sulfamethazine Bolus is an antibacterial for use in calves to treat bacterial pneumonia, bacterial scours and calf diphtheria. Intended for calves over 1 month of age which are not on an all milk diet. Use in adult beef and non-lactating dairy cows to treat the following pathogens which are sensitive to sulfamethazine; bacterial pneumonia and bovine respiratory disease complex, (shipping fever complex; Pasteurella spp.), Colibacillosis (bacterial scours; E.coli), Necrotic pododermatitis (foot rot), Calf Diphtheria (Fusobacterium necrophorum), and Acute Metritis (Streptococcus spp.). Â Active ingredient is Sulfamethazine in a sustained release formula to provide therapeutic levels in 6 hours of administration with persistency in providing this level for 72 hours. Available in cow and calf sized boluses.
