An alfalfa based, top-dressing equine dewormer, these tasty pellets are easy to feed and make deworming simple. Just combine the pellets with the ration of choice. On deworming day, replace your usual daily ration with an amount equal to the pellets provided in the handy foil pouch. Safe-guard® Equi-bits® contain 0.5% fenbendazole to control large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms and ascarids. A great alternative to paste administration for hard-to-handle and head shy animals.

For a one day treatment, add Equi-bits® pellets to the daily ration at the rate of 1.0 pound for every 1,000 pounds bodyweight (5 mg/lb fenbendazole). A 1.25-pound container will treat 1,250 pounds of bodyweight. All horses must be eating normally to ensure each animal will consume an adequate amount of the medicated feed.
Regular deworming at intervals of 6 to 8 weeks may be required, due to the possibility of reinfection.
