Merck Safe-Guard 32SG Mineral Dewormer for beef cattle is a Type C medicated feed. Contains the active ingredient fenbendazole, which is indicated to aid in the removal of lungworms, hookworms, brown stomach worms, small stomach worms, barberpole worms, bankrupt worms, nematodirus worms, and nodular worms. Safe-Guard 32SG Mineral Dewormer is ideal for cow/calf and stocker cattle operations. It works by disrupting the lifecycle of internal parasites, preventing continuous contamination of pastures, and re-infections between cattle. Offer free-choice for 3 to 6 days at recommended dosage for a safe, easy and effective deworming strategy.

  • Active ingredient: fenbendazole, 0.50% (2.27 g/lb).
  • Slaughter withhold: 13 days following last treatment.
  • Not for use in pre-ruminating calves, do not use in veal calves.
  • Contains high levels of copper; do not feed to sheep.
  • One 25 lb container will treat 25,000 of cattle.
  • Ingredients: monocalcium phosphate, dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, salt, potassium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, bentonite, molasses products, yeast culture, corn distillers dried grains with solubles, Vitamin A acetate, Vitamin D3 supplement, Vitamin E supplement, cobalt carbonate, copper sulfate, ethylenediamine dihydroiodide, manganous oxide, sodium selenite, zinc oxide, iron oxide, natural and artificial flavors, mineral oil.
  • Follow table directions. The addition to feed of higher levels of premix containing selenium is not permitted.

This fenbendazole medicated free-choice mineral is to be fed to cattle for 3 to 6 days. The amount of 32SG Type C Medicated feed given to a group of cattle must be based on 0.10 lbs (1.6 oz) total consumption per 100 lbs of bodyweight to deliver a dosage of 2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound of bodyweight. The cattle must be allowed access to this medicated feed for a sufficient time to receive the total dose. Under conditions of continual exposure to parasites, retreatment may be needed after 4 to 6 weeks.
