A modified live vaccine. For use in healthy beef and dairy cattle to aid in preventing respiratory disease caused by BVD Types 1 and 2 and bovine pneumonia caused by Mannheimia haemolytica Type A1, in a single dose. At least 9 months’ duration of immunity has been demonstrated against BVD virus Type 1 and 2.

Zoetis recommends using INFORCE™ 3, in addition with One Shot BVD, to help protect against bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV), infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus, parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus. Using the combination of vaccines helps young calves build the immunity they need prior to commingling or turnout.

Labeled for: beef and dairy cattle and calves

Species: cattle, calf

  • Provides the same level of respiratory protection as ONE SHOT® and BOVI-SHIELD GOLD® BVD administered individually.
  • Less stress on cattle; no booster required.
  • Derived from an effective combination of antigens to provide calves the immunity they need.
  • May be administered to pregnant cattle provided they were vaccinated, according to label directions, with any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP® or PREGGUARD® GOLD FP vaccine within the past 12 months. If label directions are not followed, it could result in abortion.
  • To help ensure safety in pregnant cattle, heifers must receive at least 2 doses of any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP or PREGGUARD GOLD FP product with the second dose administered approximately 30 days prebreeding.
  • May be administered to calves nursing pregnant cows provided their dams were vaccinated within the past 12 months as described above.
  • Store at 2 to 7°C. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures and/or direct sunlight may adversely affect potency. Do not freeze.

Vaccination of healthy cattle is recommended. Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried component with the sterile diluent provided. Shake well, and administer 2 ml, subcutaneously in the neck region. To avoid possible maternal antibody interference with active immunization, calves vaccinated before the age of 6 months should be revaccinated after 6 months of age, or at weaning. Annual booster is recommended or whenever subsequent stress or exposure is likely.
