Acumen Detection Mypro PCR Reagent Assay tests for Mycoplasma bovis and Prototheca using the Acumen Detection System. Use with portable or desktop Acumen Detection Systems for on-the-farm mastitis testing. Identifies these pathogens in 3 hours compared to using the culture method which can take 7 to 10 days (Mycoplasma bovis) or 3 to 4 days (Prototheca) for results. Provides you with clear ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ results.

Acumen Mastitis Detection system provides producers with on-the-farm, accurate, specific results of mastitis-causing pathogens in a timely manner. Resulting in informed, real-time management decisions to control mastitis infections within the herd and increase profits. Acumen Detection utilizes a PCR-based (polymerase chain reaction) pathogen system to detect mastitis-causing pathogens in very small samples of milk.
