This reinforced heavy-duty stainless steel tube allows the passage of a stomach tube in large animals for the administration of fluids. Keeps animal from biting down on tube and damaging or crimping it. May also be used to administer boluses. Easy to clean and resistant to corrosion. 19.5 inches in length.

Keep a firm grip on the speculum at all times to prevent the animal from swallowing it.
With the animal restrained, use your non-dominant hand to hold the head and ease the mouth open. Use your dominant hand to slowly feed the speculum over the tongue. The animal will start to swallow and when a sufficient amount of the speculum is inserted, hold against the roof of the mouth with your non-dominant had. Use your dominant hand to feed the tubing or boluses through the speculum. When finished, sanitize the speculum.
