MB Nutritional Sciences Fortify for Calves is a colostrum booster for newborn calves. A nutritional supplement formulated to boost colostrum. Add to colostrum after pasteurization to increase IgG levels in addition to supporting immune system and digestion health, along with increasing calf vigor. For milk-fed calves, offer the first 2 to 3 weeks of life or during times of stress. Formulated with 13% immunoglobulins derived from bovine serum and colostrum. Contains highly soluble yeast extract, fat-soluble vitamins, B vitamins and trace minerals. Helps improve calf performance and health by supporting optimal gastrointestinal tract health and development, stimulating intake, and reducing scours and mortality.

  • Ingredients: bovine plasma, dried whey, yeast extract, calcium carbonate, Vitamin A acetate, Vitamin D supplement, Vitamin E supplement, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, niacin supplement, lecithin, polyoxymethylene glycol 400 (mono & dioleates), calcium pantothenate, biotin, ascorbic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, Vitamin B12 supplement, iron proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc proteinate, manganese proteinate, manganese sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper proteinate, sodium selenite, copper sulfate, silicon dioxide, calcium iodate, and cobalt sulfate.
  • Guaranteed analysis:
    • Copper protein, (min) 42%.
    • Crude fat, (min) 0.5%.
    • Crude fiber, (max) 1.0%.
    • Calcium, (min) 0.2%; (max) 0.4%.
    • Phosphorus, (min) 0.2%.
    • Copper, (min) 35 ppm.
    • Selenium, (min) 1.1 ppm.
    • Zinc, (min) 150 ppm.
    • Manganese, (min) 150 ppm.
    • Iodine, (min) 1.75 ppm.
    • Vitamin A, (min) 106,000 iu/lb.
    • Vitamin D, (min) 40,000 iu/lb.
    • Vitamin E, (min) 550 iu/lb.
    • Globulin protein, (min) 11.5%.

Mix well until dissolved. Preferably with an automatic mixer. Add Fortify after pasteurization. 1 scoop is equal to 75 grams.

Colostrum quality:

    • 18 to 20% Brix: Do not feed as first feeding. Add 225 g (3 scoops) per gallon colostrum. Feed as 2nd or 3rd colostrum feeding only.
    • 20 to 22% Brix: Add 100 to 150 g (2 scoops) of Fortify per gallon of colostrum.
    • Greater than 22% Brix: Add 75 g (1 scoop) per gallon of colostrum.

Milk-feed: Supplement 28 to 56 g per calf per day for the first 2 to 3 weeks of life or during periods of stress. Divide equally among daily milk feedings.
