Boehringer Ingelheim Equi-Jec 7 Horse Vaccine is for the vaccination of healthy horses as an aid in disease prevention against Eastern, Western and Venezuelan encephalomyelitis, West Nile virus, influenza, herpesvirus and tetanus. Safe for use in horses 4 months of age and older, including pregnant mares.
Provides protection against equine influenza virus (EIV) (product contains Kentucky Lineage (KY/95), Florida sublineage clade 1 (OH/03), and Eurasian Newmarket/2/93 (NM 2/93) EIV strains), and equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1) and type 4 (EHV-4).

  • Provides protection against 7 equine disease in 1 vaccine.
  • Offers long duration of immunity—12 months for West Nile virus.
  • The duration of immunity is at least 6 months for OH/03 and at least 12 months for WNV.
  • Safety studies of 880 horses showed 98% were reaction free after 2 doses of EQUI-JEC 7.
  • Store at 35 to 46 °F (2 to 8 °C). Do not freeze.
  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
  • Do not mix with other products.
  • In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer Epinephrine. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
Shake product well before use. Using aseptic technique, vaccinate horses intramuscularly with a 1-ml dose. Administer a second 1-ml dose intramuscularly in 3 to 4 weeks using a different injection site. The need for annual booster vaccinations has not been established for this product. Consultation with a veterinarian is recommended.
