For use in dehorning calves up to 8 weeks of age, preferably 1 to 7 days of age. Reduces stress from dehorning at an older age. No cutting, bleeding or infections from this method. For best results clip hair around bud, keep calf in an enclosed area, away from other animals, as well as out of the rain for 12 hours.

Apply as soon as horn button can be felt.
Clip hair from horn buttons; roughen skin from tip to base of button (do not draw blood). Protect surrounding tissue with petrolatum. Apply a thin film of paste to each horn button. Confine calves for 30 minutes to prevent removal or spreading of paste. Keep area protected from rain for 12 hours.
Best results are obtained on younger animals from 1 to 7 days old.
