Durvet Activated Charcoal Gel is a ready-to-use oral gel for use in livestock, horses, dogs, and cats as an emergency first aid treatment in cases of accidental poisoning. Formulated with activated bone charcoal and attapulgite clay to counteract effects of certain ingested toxins, binding to them in the digestive tract and eliminating them from the body. May help in following accidental ingestion toxin incidences—insecticides, herbicides, organic chemicals, intestinal bacterial contaminates, or grain overload. Multi-species formula enhanced with electrolytes.

Select the recommended feeding rate in the tube and feed the animals orally allowing time to swallow.
Dogs & cats:Â 1 to 3-ml per kg (2.2 lb) bodyweight.
Sheep & goats:Â 1 to 3-ml per kg (2.2 lb) bodyweight.
Adult cattle & horses:Â It is recommended to give up to 300-ml.
Calves & foals:Â It is recommended to give up to 80-ml.
Repeat Activated Charcoal Gel feeding after 1 to 3 hours or as needed.
A stomach tube should be used in animals unable to swallow. If conditions do not improve, consult your veterinarian. Depending on the condition of the animal, supportive therapy such as parental fluids and injectable antidotes should be used along with Activated Charcoal Gel for efficient recovery. May not be very effective in the treatment of heavy metal poisoning like lead, arsenic, mercury, etc.
