Kenalog Injection (Triamcinolone acetonide) is a glucocorticoid for use in dogs, cats and horses to treat a variety of conditions. Your pet’s veterinarian may use or prescribe Kenalog to help treat allergic disorders, arthritis, endocrine insufficiencies, respiratory disease, collagen disease (systemic lupus), certain cancers, intestinal disorders, or eye and skin conditions.

Kenalog Injection offers rapid relief for inflammatory or allergic disorders. The injection can be given into the affected joint or into your pet’s system.

  • Treats several skin conditions and symptoms.
  • Treats endocrine disorders, acute arthritis and immune disorders.
  • Reduces inflammation in allergic reactions.
  • Great for treating inflammatory ear infections.
  • Store at room temperature, away from light.
  • Keep away from pets and children.
  • Adverse effects are generally associated with long-term use of this medication.
    • For dogs, some effects include increased drinking, eating and urination; dull dry haircoat; weight gain; panting; vomiting; diarrhea; elevated liver enzymes; pancreatitis; GI ulceration; activation or worsening of diabetes mellitus; muscle wasting and behavioral changes.
    • Cats develop fewer adverse effects. They can develop occasional increase in drinking, eating and urination; weight gain; diarrhea; or depression.
  • Triamcinolone is contra-indicated in nursing dogs and in animals suffering from diabetes mellitus, heart ailments, Cushing’s syndrome, gastric ulcers, kidney disease, liver disease, corneal ulcers, or glaucoma.

Shake product well before using. Give as directed by your veterinarian.
