Vermont’s Original Bag Balm is a versatile skin moisturizer safe for people and animals. Most known in milking industry to help treat or prevent chapped teats and udders, this original skin moisturizer can be used on cows and goats, post milking, to protect the udder and teats from dryness and chapping. Use after milking to prevent dryness due to harsh weather conditions, including excess sun and wind. May also be used to treat superficial abrasions in a variety of animals and humans. Long-lasting formula softens, soothes, and protects skin.

  • Use on dry, chafed or chapped skin, paws, dry noses and other animal care; also for calluses, cuts and scrapes, cracked hands, split heels, and sunburns on humans.
  • No added fragrances, colors, alcohol, parabens, or phthalates.
  • Proudly made in Vermont, USA.
  • Ingredients: petrolatum, lanolin, 8-Hydroxyquinoline sulfate (0.3%), paraffin wax.

After each milking, apply thoroughly and allow coating to remain on surface. Wash affected udder and teat thoroughly before and after each milking. Dry with a clean cloth.
For use on udders due to calving, high feeding, bruising, or chilling: bathe udder with hot water. Strip out all milk and dry skin with a clean cloth. Apply a generous amount of Bag Balm. Massage gently twice daily or more often if necessary.

For pets, apply liberally to affected area. Do not allow your pet to excessively lick the area after application.
