Ceftiflex is a broad spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic for use in the treatment of respiratory disease in cattle caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Haemophilus somnus. It is also indicated for treatment of foot rot caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Used in swine, horses, goats, and sheep for the treatment of pneumonia caused by susceptible organisms.
Used in dogs for the treatment of urinary tract infections.
In day-old chicks and poults for reducing early mortality caused by E. coli organisms.
Species: cattle, horse, sheep, goat, pig, chicken, poultry, dog
Slaughter withdrawal is 4 days from last treatment; no milk withdrawal.
Reconstitute with 80 ml sterile water.
Cattle: Administer1 to 2 ml per 100 lbs body weight intramuscularly or subcutaneously. Treatment should be repeated at 24 hour intervals for 3 to 5 consecutive days.
Swine: Administer by intramuscular injection 1 ml per 22 to 37 lbs of body weight. Repeat dose at 24 hour intervals for 3 days.
Sheep and goats: Administer by intramuscular injection 1 to 2 ml per 100 lbs body weight. Repeat dose for 3 to 5 consecutive days.
Horses: Administer 2 to 4 ml per 100 lbs body weight by intramuscular injection. Treatment should be repeated at 24 hour intervals not to exceed 10 days.
Dogs: Administer by subcutaneous injection only 0.1 ml per 5 lbs body weight. Treatment should be repeated at 24 hour intervals for 5 to 14 days
