FALL DEWORMING

Fall Deworming Pour-Ons for Your Cattle

Lice, worms and other parasites affecting dairy cattle can lead to decreased milk production and profitability. In beef cattle, parasites such as brown stomach worms can rob cattle of performance and growth.
To keep herds protected and healthy, incorporating a Fall deworming session promotes good body condition through the winter months. A strategic deworming program is based on climate and parasite challenges each herd faces. A good time for Fall deworming in cows, calves and bulls is directly following the first killing frost or freeze. Pour-ons are a good solution because they are typically less expensive and require less handling of the animal.

Please Note: Dewormers have specific uses. Off-label use of a pour-on dewormer is not suggested or recommended. Any amount of an unapproved product detected in milk is illegal and can lead to fines and lost milk sales. Be sure to read label for proper use of pour-ons

Feature Solutions

Producers choose a pour-on dewormer based on whether it can control internal and external parasites and whether it’s approved for lactating cows. Leedstone carries a wide variety of dewormers to help. See our Cattle Dewormer Comparison chart.

Our featured products are all safe for lactating cows, treat and control multiple internal and external parasites, are weatherproof—and they all have current rebates/promotions! You can also get free applicators with 5, 10 and 20-liter sizes (see products online to order).
