- Do not leave bandage on too long.
After bandaging wound, apply tape without tension. Rub tape with smooth gentle pressure and avoid gaps and wrinkles. Extend at least ½-inch beyond bandage. Remove and reapply bandage every day or as needed. Continue until wound is healed.
