The Anvil brand hoof knives are reportedly some of the most popular hoof knives on the market. The blades are the same size on all styles (2-3/4 inches long and 3/8-inch wide); and made from good quality steel from US or Japan. Blades are heat treated to a consistent hardness on the Rockwell ‘C’ hardness scale.
The regular knife handle is 5 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide; shorter than the long and the deluxe styles (both 5-1/2 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide). The deluxe also features a notched spot for thumb placement. All handles are made to provide good, safe leverage.
