An antibiotic-free treatment and control for hairy warts and foot rot in dairy cattle. Helps decrease pain and inflammation due to papillomatous digital dermatitis (PDD). Contains ionized mineral acids and salicylic acid, proven as an effective treatment for PDD. Salicylic acid offers antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. The special gel formulation adheres to the wart, allowing longer contact time and better penetration of the active ingredients. It also forms a protective barrier, not easily removed by normal dairy conditions.
Labeled for: dairy cattle
Species: cattle
Topical spray or drench:
Dilute gel 1:1 or 1:2 with water and place in a sprayer. Clean affected area, as well as possible, beforehand. Spray or drench to the point of runoff, twice daily (morning and evening milkings). Continue use until problem has resolved. Shake sprayer contents before each application. Thickness of gel may vary depending on temperature.
For more severe cases, apply full-strength gel directly to the affected area, covering the entire area of the lesion. Thoroughly clean area prior to application of gel. Inspect regularly and reapply if lesion persists. If wrapping, clean affected area and apply gel liberally; then wrap. Remove wrap after 3 days and inspect. If lesion persists, reapplication may be necessary.
