Provecta Advanced for Dogs is a topical flea and tick treatment and preventative. Provecta for dogs treats an existing flea or tick infestation as well as providing month-long protection against a reinfestation. Repels and kills fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes so your dog can comfortably enjoy the outdoors. Once-a-month topical application is for use on adult dogs and puppies 7-weeks of age and older. Contains the same active ingredients as K9 Advantix, imidacloprid, permethrin, and pyriproxyfen, an insect growth regulator (IGR). Also kills chewing lice and repels biting flies. Ticks carry Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. Mosquitoes transmit heartworm disease and fleas can cause flea allergy dermatitis. Using a flea and tick preventative can help prevent your pet from contracting one of these infections. American Heartworm Society recommends using a heartworm preventative along with a repellant such as Provecta to best protect your pet.
