When introducing new foods, gradually mix it with your dog’s current food over the course of 4 days.
Below are recommended guidelines and starting points per day. Your dog may need more or less food depending on age, activity and temperament. Adjust the food intake as appropriate to reach optimal body conditions.
Daily intake:
3 lb: 3/8 cup
10 lb: 3/4 to 1 cup
20 lb: 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 cup
30 lb: 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 cup
40 lb: 1-3/4 to 2-1/4 cup
50 lb: 2 to 2-1/2 cup
Divide the total amount by the number of feedings per day to get the portion size.
Always provide clean, fresh water to your dog.
