PennField Pennchlor 64 Soluble Powder Concentrate contains chlortetracycline HCL, a water-soluble antibacterial powder for chickens, turkeys, cattle, and pigs. Add to the animals’ drinking water, providing a convenient mode of administration. One packet contains 102.4-grams of chlortetracycline HCL (64g/lb). Offers broad-spectrum control against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms which cause respiratory, intestinal, or reproductive diseases. Water-soluble antibiotic for livestock provides a cost-effective treatment option in comparison to injectable antibiotics. Ideal for using in medicated waterers. Indicated to treat the following conditions:

Chickens: control of infectious synovitis (Mycoplasma synoviae), chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and air sac infection (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Escherichia coli), and mortality due to fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida).

Turkeys: control of infectious synovitis (M. synoviae), complicating bacteria associated with bluecomb (transmissible enteritis, coronaviral enteritis).

Cattle: control and treatment of bacterial enteritis/calf scours (E. coli, Salmonella spp.), and bacterial pneumonia (Pasteurella spp., Histophilus spp., Klebsiella spp.).

Pigs: control and treatment of bacterial enteritis/pig scours (E. coli, Salmonella spp.), and bacterial pneumonia (Pasteurella spp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Klebsiella spp.).

  • Readily absorbed into the blood stream and lung tissues at effective concentrations.
  • Excellent solubility.
  • No withhold time for pigs.
  • 24-hour meat withhold in chickens. Do not use in laying hens.
  • Do not give to growing turkeys within 24-hours of slaughter.
  • 24-hour meat withhold in cattle.
  • Do not use in lactating dairy cattle or veal calves.
  • A withdrawal period has not been established in pre-ruminating calves.

Calves, beef cattle, and non-lactating dairy cattle: 10-mg/pound bodyweight daily. Use 2 teaspoon of powder for each 100-lb of calf weight per day. Administer at this rate in the total water consumed over a full, 24-hour period, or as a drench in divided doses. Administer for 3 to 5 days.

Pigs: (5 packets/512-gallons will treat 512 100-lb pigs per day, 2 teaspoons of powder will treat a 100-lb pig for one day). Administer at this rate in the total water consumed over a full, 24-hour period. Administer for 3 to 5 days.
