NF Kidney Function Advanced Dry Cat Food by Purina is for felines with chronic kidney disease—IRIS stages III and IV—and hepatic disease associated with encephalopathy. Offers support to cats with CKD through nutritional supplementation. NF reduces the kidney workload and helps slow the degeneration of aging kidneys. Low sodium and phosphorus levels help maintain healthy kidney function and minimize kidney stress. Limited amount of high-quality protein to help reduce stress on the kidneys. Contains added B-complex vitamins and potassium to recoup the loss due to secondary polyuria. EPA and DHA help reduce inflammatory mediators. Contains antioxidant Vitamins A and E for immune system support. Vitamin E also helps reduce oxidative stress.

The following feeding program is recommended as a guideline only, with discretionary clinical adjustments for proper weight maintenance. With your veterinarian’s approval, offer increasing amounts of the new food with decreasing amounts of the old food. This daily amount should be divided into several small meals throughout the day.
