The Max40 Insecticide Ear Tag is designed with a controlled release formulation to extend the effectiveness of the tag while providing the maximum, concentrated dose of the active ingredient diazinon. The sustained-release rate and the potency of the active ingredient provides up to 20 weeks (5 months) of protection from horn flies, house flies, stable flies, face flies, lice, spinose ear ticks and gulf coast ticks. Features the Y-TEX Snap-Lok collar for guaranteed retention against tag or button failure for 5 months. Approved for use in beef and non-lactating dairy cattle and calves. One tag per animal controls horn flies. Two tags per animal controls horn flies, gulf coast ticks and spinose ear ticks; aids in the control of face flies, lice, stable flies and house flies. Replace as necessary and remove tags at end of fly season or prior to slaughter. Ideal for rotation with other insecticide ear tags according to Y-TEX’s rotation program. Apply with the Y-TEX Ultragger Plus Applicator.

Properly restrain animal. Disinfect tag applicator before use. For adequate control of horn flies, attach 1 tag per animal. For optimum control of horn flies and ear ticks, and as an aid in the control of face flies, lice, stable flies and house flies, attach 1 tag to each ear (2 per animal). Apply with a Y-TEX 2 piece tagger ( Ultratagger Plus). Replace as necessary. To minimize development of insecticide resistance in horn flies, remove used tags at the end of the season and follow the recommend rotation program. Calves less than 3 months of age should not be tagged as ear damage may result.
