Hoof block adhesive, formulated for use when the temperatures start to drop. Offers a fast and strong bond, even in cold weather. This product is used to adhere wooden or plastic blocks to the claw of a bovine hoof to relieve pressure on the opposite claw. Hoof Tite is a two-part urethane, fast-set adhesive. Features a dual chamber to reduce cross contamination. Saves time and money with an innovative, no-mixing system.
Labeled for: beef and dairy cattle
Species: cattle
Treat the injured claw. Then trim the sound claw as flat, clean and dry as possible. Place the Hoof Tite cartridge into the applicator gun. Untwist round cap, remove dual plug and attach the mixer tip. Slide cap down around the mixer tip and twist cap to secure. Dispense through gun. Replace dual plug and secure with cap.
Apply adhesive to wood, plastic or boot blocks. Apply block immediately to prepared sound claw. Hold firmly for 30 seconds; do not press glue between hoof and block because the layer of glue may become too thin. After setting, let the cow stand on the block for 2 to 3 minutes before releasing.
