Leedstone Foundation 20 Calf Starter is a medicated grain mixture for dairy calves in confinement. Start feeding on day 3 (weighing 215 lb) through 12 weeks of age. Contains lasalocid (60 g/ton) to aid in the control of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii. Contains diflubenzuron (6 g/ton) to inhibit the emergence of house, stable, face and horn flies from the manure of treated cattle. Dairy calf starter provides 20% protein along with high-quality ingredients to promote feed intake, digestion and calf growth. Textured feed product.
Labeled for: dairy calves
Species: calf
When used as directed, this product provides sufficient diflubenzuron larvicide to prevent the emergence of adult house flies, stable flies, horn flies and face flies from manure of treated cattle. Existing adult flies will not be affected. Start feeding before flies appear and continue use until cold weather marks the end of the fly season.
Introduction of this product after an adult fly infestation is established will require treatment of cattle and confinement areas with adulticides if immediate elimination of the adult fly population is desired.
Hand feed continuously to cattle weighing 215 lbs at the rate of 3.25 lbs per head per day to provide 1 mg lasalocid per 2.2 lbs bodyweight per day (up to a maximum of 360 mg per head per day) and to provide 0.10 mg diflubenzuron per kg of bodyweight.
