Immucell’s First Defense Dual Force is made from 100% dried colostrum to provide antibody-driven immediate immunity against both bacterial and viral scours in newborn beef and dairy calves. Ready to use oral gel; give to newborns as soon as possible after birth as a one-time preventative treatment for newborn calf scours. First Defense gel tubes provide consistent antibody levels to protect newborn calves against E. coli and coronavirus. The maternal immunoglobulins and standardized levels of E. coli and coronavirus antibodies bind and neutralize pathogens, minimizing death loss from these 2 major causes of scours. USDA approved, proven to aid in the prevention of calf scours caused by K99 piliated Escherichia coli and coronavirus. Highly concentrated formula is readily absorbed by the calf to protect against disease. Contains a non-digestible blue dye as an administration marker. Same formulation as First Defense bolus, yet in a convenient syringe dosing.

Labeled for: newborn beef and dairy calves

Species: cattle, calf

  • Made from hyperimmunized bovine colostrum, so the antibodies are readily absorbed by the calf’s system.
  • Provides immediate protection to animals when they are most susceptible.
  • Non-digestible blue dye turns the calf’s first stool a neon blue-green to verify administration.
  • Easily administered without a balling gun.
  • Keep refrigerated.
  • No meat withholding.
  • Derived form 100% bovine antibodies from colostrum.
  • Administer as soon as possible after birth; does not require any colostrum withholding.
  • A single dose of First Defense provides a guaranteed level of protection, proven to reduce mortality and morbidity from 2 major causes of calf scours.

Administer 1 syringe orally to calf within first 12 hours after birth. Calves should be fed colostrum.

We give this to calves that are born in the barn or lot (we usually calve in the pasture). It prevents the calves from getting scours at all! They DON’T GET SICK!!! Worth every penny, we stock up every year.
