Boehringer Ingelheim Bar-Vac 8 vaccine is for the vaccination of healthy cattle and sheep to aid in the prevention of clostridial diseases. Provides 8-way (7-way + Red Water) clostridial protection against the follow pathogens; Clostridium chauvoei (blackleg), Cl. septicum, Cl. Haemolyticum, Cl. novyi, Cl. sordellii and Cl. perfringens Types C and D (overeating). Also, research has shown Bar-Vac 8 provides protections against Clostridium perfringens Type B. Although Type B is not significantly problamatic in the United States, Ultra-Bac 8 immunity may be provided. Immunity is derived from the combination of Type C (beta) and Type D (epsilon) fractions.

  • 8-way clostridial protection.
  • Meets BQA guidelines for subcutaneous administration.
  • Ideal for cattle and sheep susceptible to clostridial diseases.
  • Store out of direct sunlight at a temperature between 35 and 45 °F (2 to 7 °C). Avoid freezing.
  • Anaphylactoid reactions may occur. Use Epinephrine as the antidote.
  • Shake this product well before using.
  • Use entire contents when first opened.
  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
  • 250-ml bottle equals 50 cattle doses or 100 sheep doses.
  • Immunity provided against the beta and epsilon toxins produced by Cl perfringens Type B. Immunity derived by Type C (beta) and Type D (epsilon) fractions.

Cattle: Using aseptic technique, inject 5 ml subcutaneously. Repeat in 21 to 28 days and once annually.

Sheep: Using aseptic technique, inject 2.5 ml subcutaneously. Repeat in 21 to 28 days and once annually.
