Over-the-Counter Changing to Rx Prescriptions—Have you heard? Some medically important drugs will change from over-the-counter (OTC) to prescription (Rx) to purchase. This regulation, announced by the FDA, is to help mediate antibiotic usage under the direction of the experts – veterinarians. It is not an immediate change, the requirement goes into effect in June of 2023.
