This product is given intramuscularly to control signs associated with non-infectious degenerative and/or traumatic arthritis in dogs. It contains polysulfated glycosaminoglycan (PSGAG), which is characterized as a ‘disease modifying osteoarthritis drug.’ The only FDA approved, injectable treatment to help reduce the breakdown of cartilage. It starts working as fast as 2-hours post injection, staying the joints for 3 days.

The recommended dose is 2 mg per pound of bodyweight (.02 ml/lb or 1 ml per 50 lbs). Give intramuscularly twice weekly for up to 4 weeks (maximum of 8 injections).
