Sanding belt for sharpening hoof knives. An aluminum-oxide J-flex, weight cloth backed, semi-open coat; resin bonded with a special top coating to aid in cooling and resist loading. Very flexible for severely contoured work pieces. Works best for stainless steel and high alloy steels. Size is 1-inch x 30-inch; 400 grit flexible gold.

Extra pliable for sharpening curved hoof knives.
Mount on any bench grinder. Wear safety glasses. Start up the grinder and allow it to come up to speed (about one minute). Set the hoof knife on the grinder at a 20-degree angle and hold it firmly. Sharpen the knife from hilt to tip. Repeat for the other side.
