Zoetis Bovi-Shield Gold 5 Cattle Vaccine is a modified live vaccine offering one-dose protection against 5 strains of viral pneumonia. Bovi-Shield is for use in healthy cattle to prevent respiratory disease caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), and viremia caused by bovine virus diarrhea (BVD) Types 1 and 2. Aids in the prevention of respiratory disease caused by BVD virus Types 1 and 2, parainfluenza3 (PI3) and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV).

  • 1-dose protection against 5 viral pneumonia strains saving the producer time and money.
  • When carefully following label directions, this vaccine may be given to pregnant animals.
  • This product may be administered to pregnant animals provided they were vaccinated before breeding in the last 12 months with any Bovi-Shield GOLD FP or PregGuard GOLD FP product.
  • To ensure safety in pregnant cattle heifers must receive at least 2 doses of any Bovi-Shield GOLD FP or PregGuard GOLD FP with the second dose administered approximately 30 days pre-breeding.
  • Do not use in calves nursing pregnant cows unless their dams were vaccinated within the past 12 months as described above.
  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days prior to slaughter.
  • Use entire contents when first opened.
  • Contains gentamicin as preservative.

Rehydrate freeze-dried portion of the vaccine with the diluent provided. Administer 2-ml subcutaneously or intramuscularly in the neck region. Calves vaccinated before 6 months of age should be revaccinated after 6 months of age to avoid possible maternal antibody interference.

Primary vaccination: Administer a single 2-ml dose to healthy cattle.

Revaccination: Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
