Thaw semen with an accurate and reliable system. Field-tested and proven, the accurate and sensitive electronic control maintains constant water temperature of 95 to 98° F to properly thaw semen. Unit is constructed of durable ABS, non-corrosive plastic for long-term use and protection of internal components.

Comes with a 6-ft 12V/120V AC cord, and a 12-ft 12V/120V DC cord (for use with a vehicle cigarette lighter).

  1. Fill digital thaw unit with clean tap water. Plug cord into correct voltage source as indicated on base of unit. Wait for thaw device to heat up to proper temperature. Your water temperature when you started determines the exact warm up time approximately 20° F (1.10 °C) per minute.
    • 500 water temp. to 96.50F/360C = approx. 23 min.
    • 600 water temp. to 96.50F/360C = approx. 18 min.
    • 700 water temp. to 96.50F/360C = approx. 13 min.
    • 800 water temp. to 96.50F/360C = approx. 8 min.
  2. Green ready-light must be on, indicating unit is up to the appropriate temperature.
  3. Agitate the water by taking the basket and moving it up and down several times to assure water temperature is consistent through the water bath.
  4. With the correct water temperature, you are now ready to thaw semen in your Thaw Unit.

NOTE: New thaw units have an internal temperature adjustment knob. Your digital thaw unit has been factory calibrated to 96.50 °F (360 °C). However, if you desire to change the preset temperature, you may readjust it by removing the 7 screws on the bottom of the unit and turning the knob—clockwise for warmer and counter-clockwise for cooler temperatures. Turn temperature adjustment knob a little at a time and allow unit to stabilize before checking temperature again.

    Ordered this item at the end of the year knowing it could be a 60 day delay. Checked back at 60 days and saying we have no update. The customer service rep said it’s not her problem. Then said could be June and said how do you feel about that!!
