Elanco Component TE-200 with Tylan Cattle Implant is a growth and finishing implant for heifers and steers. Contains oestrogenic and androgenic compounds for lofted cattle over 80-days on feed. Cattle implants are administered in the ear. Component TE-200 cattle implant is particularly beneficial for early maturing breeds with more fat reserves. Use in steers and heifers fed in confinement for slaughter, increases rate of weight gain and improves feed efficiency. Contains trenbolone and oestradiol in a slow-release delivery implant. The increase in bodyweight is primarily lean muscle and not fat. To be administered 80 to 90 days prior to slaughter for optimal performance. Not approved for repeated implantation (reimplantation) with this or any other cattle ear implant in growing beef steers and heifers fed in confinement for slaughter.

  • Increases rate of weight gain.

  • Antibiotic coating helps reduce injection site infections.
  • Contains 20-mg oestradiol and 200-mg trenbolone acetate (TBA) with 29-mg tylosin tartrate.
  • Do not use in veal calves or animals intended for breeding.
  • A withdrawal period has not been established in pre-ruminating calves.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • For animal treatment only.
  • Meat withhold: 0 days.
  • Not to be used in animals intended for subsequent breeding, or in dairy animals.
  • Milk withhold: DO NOT use in heifers which are producing or may in the future produce milk which may be used or processed for human consumption.
  • Not for use in veal calves.
  • Store unopened product at or below 25 °C (77 °F); avoid excessive heat and humidity.

Prepare the implant site by scrubbing the backside of the ear (implant site) with a piece of clean absorbent cloth which has been soaked with topical antiseptic solution. Follow manufacturer’s directions on antiseptic for correct preparation and strength of solution.

Insert one implant under the skin on the back side of the middle 1/3 of the ear per animal. Use a Component implanter only. Do not penetrate cartilage. To help avoid abscess formation at the implant site, thoroughly clean and disinfect the surface of the ear before implantation. Implanted cattle must be individually identified with an approved ear punch mark.
